Client: Medium Effort/Fine Art Supplies (Brockville, ON)

Created during my placement at Medium Effort/Fine Art Supplies, this project focused on redesigning and refining the layout system for the monthly Fishwrapper print publication. Using Adobe InDesign, I improved the April issue through refined page margins, column layouts, typography, and overall space efficiency. Key updates included relocating the issue date from the header to the footer and introducing Avenir LT Pro and Utopia as the primary typefaces to improve readability and visual consistency.

I also redesigned the calendar section by converting it from a two-page spread into a single-page layout through the creation of a custom calendar graphic in Adobe Illustrator. Following the redesign, I developed a reusable publication template, style guide, paragraph and character styles, parent pages, and updated advertiser guidelines to support consistency across future issues.

This project focused on editorial design, publication layout systems, typography hierarchy, template development, and print production workflow refinement.
