This piece contains a custom logo design and different stationery pieces with the logo and branding applied. The custom logo was created to replace the old logo for the company Scorpion Technologies because the old design had a lot of room for improvement. For the new logo I decided to combine the design of a scorpion as well as the letter S from the company’s name. To do this I broke the design into different segments due to how a scorpion’s body is segmented and I then placed the segments so they resembled the letter S. I decided to have the head of the scorpion at the base of the design and the stinger at the top. Finally I colored the logo design a hot orange color to help it pop out and also because that color fit well with the brand identity. Finally I added the logotype underneath the design and I chose to use a sharp but clean typeface for it called Bai Jamjuree because it really fit with the brand identity and with it being a sharper typeface also matched well with the logo. After designing the logo and the accompanying logotype I then applied the design to four different stationery pieces including a business card, envelope, letterhead and mailing label and I made sure to apply the logo design and similar branding across all four stationery pieces to make it look they were all part of a set.
